First Holy Communion is a special, an important event in the life of all Catholics: it is the moment when a Catholic receives the Blessed Sacrament for the first time and participates in the sacrament of First Reconciliation (Confession). Classes are held for children weekly on Friday evenings at 5.30pm in the parish room, beginning in the autumn and finishing the following spring. It is necessary for parents to register their children prior to the classes beginning. Once the registration period is closed, no more children are able to enrol for that particular year. Application forms are available each September. The Church expects children to attend all the classes (classes are not held during school breaks).
